Hi all,
I have a new Spartan V 9mm and started reloading for it. I have made up some dummy rounds to check COAL. This is my first 1911 (but not my first firearm) so I'm still learning the ropes with it.
Using 124gn LRN I get a COAL of 1.1" which passes the Plunck test and cycles through the action.
One thing I notice is there a prominent scratch on the projectile. It is the single scratch on the majority of the dummy rounds.
Do your know what is causing the scratch? Looking down through the ejection port I can't see anything that would cause the scratch. Is it the feed ramp? I have attached two photos of the dummies.
Thanks,
