I made this shot of a full moon from Hatfield, PA on July 13, 2011.
It was taken using a film-era Sigma 600mm f/8 mirror lens (Olympus OM mount) and a tripod-mounted Panasonic G1 m4/3 DSLR. It's kind of fun getting new images out of old glass!

About 40 years ago, I bought a lot of Olympus Zuiko lenses for my OM-2 cameras. Shown are 200, 135, 85, 50, 35 and 28mm lenses that used to travel with me all of the time. These high-quality Zuikos lenses were light and compact and all shared a common 49mm filter. I still use these lenses with my digital cameras today (thanks to inexpensive Chinese-made adapters) and I like the results they give me.

I always wanted one of those old, tiny Olympus cameras, but being completely sold to Nikon, never got one.
Now you made me lust for my F2A, time to unfreeze a roll of film and take some pictures this weekend.

El Commandante John - Film must thaw slowly in your frigid Grecian climate! Wadda' yah mean OLD, referring to my lithe and lovely OM-2's? Your antiquated F2a paperweight was introduced a mere two years later and still looked like the original brick-shaped 7-pound Photomic F. Seriously, both are lovely film burners, put forth in an era when you bought a camera for life!
