On a good day, can hit the broad side of a barn ... from the inside
My questions is: I’m looking at a colt sistema with an aeronautical Argentine on the side with the crest. But it’s not the Air Force crest with wings it’s the crest u would see on the army version. Serial number is in the 68000 range. There is nothing about sist colt. Al mod 1927 under the aeronautical Argentine. It does have the dgfm fmap on the other side of the slide. it was cai st alb import marked..and it looks parked not blued..similar to the 1911s coming out of the cmp. Is it a legit colt sistema Air Force 1911? Why would the slide look that way? All the Air Force slides I see have the wings? It has an issue number on the frame but not on slide. Number on frame and slide match. I have asked for pictures of barrel and top of slide.
Photos would help. There's some marking variations. Slides with crests but no agency are thought to be over runs or for agencies too small for a dedicated roll stamp.
Sistema colt top.jpgmagazine.jpgyup I have tried to put pictures up but get a failure everytime I upload. maybe this will work.

Don't believe I've observed that particular style marking before but there's a wide variation in markings. Your slide possibly an overrun from another govt contract with DGFM using it up rather than throwing it in the scrap.
Your pistol falls in the Argentine Air Force range and shipped 20 Feb 1953. Your magazine produced for the US Govt by Checkmate Industries from late 70s thru early 90s.

There is a guy on another forum that posted a sistema colt 1927 that is only 9 serial numbers higher than this one but it has the wings on the crest...and the sist Colt cal 11.25 Mod 1927 under the aeronautica argentina. It has the issue number on the slide and frame. This one only has it on the frame.
Maybe like you said they ran out of air force wing stamped crest slides and used a army one instead. No numbers on the barrel so probably a replacement.
How many Ben's would be fair?
Without the Air Force crest and replacement barrel I'd say towards the lower range of whatever Sistemas bring in your area.
