Did I mess up my slide by soaking it in an Ultrasonic cleaner?

Greetings;
I'm using a water based 1:20 solution of Ultrasonic cleaner. How wrong was that decision? Will it corrode/rust the firing pin assy?

I'm going to the Gunsmithing Sticky Threads now?!? Thank you for any advice.

No, it should be fine. If the solution was hot, the moisture will evaporate quickly. Or use an air hose and blow it off. Oil it up and go shooting. I have cleaned mine in ultrasonic cleaners with no ill effects. Make sure to detail strip everything.

I clean all of my handguns in an ultrasonic cleaner with heat, rinse in hot water, blow dry with air (compressor in basement) and never had rust problems. I lubricate during and after assembly.

I also have a climate controlled house.

You only use plain tap water on the ultrasonic cleaners?

I use the Lyman Turbo Sonic Steel and Gun parts Cleaner in my US cleaner.

I don't see any problem using non-tap water on steel.

I am a gunsmith and use an ultrasonic cleaner to clean up customer’s firearms daily. I have never had a problem on steel. You should be fine, my only suggestion is get that water away from the steel as soon as possible. I use a compressor to blow the water out. I’ve seen others bake the parts in an oven. The idea is to avoiding rust.
