    Question R1 Stainless

I'm looking at a nice low-use R1 Enhanced in our local pawn shop. It's stainless, but the roll mark is simply R1, not R1S. Every photo or video I've found of these guns shows the stainless version with an R1S roll mark. Is this some sort of weird mash-up, or were there some Stainless Enhanced R1's produced without the S designation?

jetkins, I have seen a Remington R1 Enhanced Stainless with a roll mark on its right side of the slide "1911 R 1S."

What you describe is what I've seen on every R1 Stainless, but this particular gun is lacking the S suffix. Just curious.
