    Wadcutter feed lips

I just bought a Girsan 1911. It’s a pretty accurate copy of the 1911 pistol. It came with two MecGar magazines, which have the wadcutter feed lips. These mags will feed empty cases in this pistol, but hybrid mags won’t feed anything reliably. The hybrid mags work with anything in my other 1911s. Can anyone explain this for me?
    Thanks in advance.

Eureka! I figured out my problem. It was an Ed Brown magazine with the Chek Mate follower,, and only one was doing the misfeed thing. I got to looking at it, and it seemed that the follower was tilting. I adjusted the legs of the follower, and all is well. That magazine will feed an empty case now, too.

Good it was the magazine and not an issue with the pistol.

Yeah, I’m happy about that. The pistol ran like a Swiss watch with the mags that came with it, so I thought it must be the feed lip design. Then I thought more about it, and decided that all the feed lip designs work to some extent, so it must be the magazine. Turns out that was the problem.
