    Differences between 500 9C9 & 9C8

Just wanted to see if what I think I understand is correct about the 500 9C9 & 9C8.

    Obviously I know 9C9 holds 9 rounds & 9C8 holds 8.

The reason for the one round difference is because the 9C9 pad is just a bit taller and sticks past the butt of the frame slightly more than the 9C8, correct?

The extra depth of the 9C9 base pad also gives a little something to grip to pull mag out of gun if needed, so that is a plus too.

For concealed carry using a 9C8 the height of pistol would be slightly shorter.

    Cheers, Allen

If you look at the back edge of the magazine you will see that the "pad" is not as thick as it looks, it wraps around an extension of the tube to make a little room to allow the ninth round to squeeze in.
