Congratulations on working for an enlightened department!

My recommendation would be a TRP/Operator. Mine is a tackdriver, and has made through more than 3,000 rounds without a malfunction of any kind. However, "even" a Loaded will give you great service.

On the other hand, I just spoke with a lady from Springfield Customer Service, who told me that orders are backed-up for all SA 1911's.

    Cheers.

Rich, I read your post and just had to add my little bit of 'stir the pot' response.

If a right handed shooter holds a light with their left hand away from their body, such as the FBI light hold, this presents a problem for said shooter if the person they face is also a right hand shooter. If said shooter shoots at the light and jerks the trigger, their shots will go low left...meaning you'll get shot!

    Sorry Rich...I just had ta!
If it isn't durable, it isn't reliable.
