    Thank you so much for your wealth of information. I'll kick you an email when I get everything sorted. I have always wanted a Ruger standard so I might go that route with a .22 but I do see the appeal of housing a .22 in the same frame and grip system as my .45.

    The plus like you said was by using a 22 conversion on your frame, you have the same grip angle, the same trigger and also the same weight for both your 22 and your center fire/45 gun. It is a win win when getting into bullseye, You know if you buy a Ruger 22, you still need to put a 100 or so into a Volquartsen trigger if you want it to really be a competetive gun and then you have to deal with a different bore axis as well as a different grip able. I know lots of people who shoot Rugers, but no one who is serious about their scores.
