We live in a crazy world

I have always been wondering if the world is becoming more and more crazy, but today, I got verification. No need to wonder any more, it's official.

Someone paid $4,338,500 to buy the photograph shown below:

    Andreas Gursky, Rhein II

My only question is why isn't anybody interested in buying that bridge I am selling?

Well I found a version of it online, at 1372×768 pixels, which is border line for a post-card sized print, but for the price, I'm happy!

If you ever find out who bought the picture tell them I have the other 1/3 of the image for a bargain price of $2,155,830.

Nevermind, some guy went to the exact same spot, and took the same picture:

That's around 18 Mpixels. The grass could use a lawnmower, but other than that..!?

Your stuff is much better. Maybe you ought to be raising your prices.

Now of course the Gursky is 6'x12', so it's only about $161,000 a square foot.

Mmm, how much do apartments around NYC's Times Square go for these days?

Thank you Frank, that means a lot coming from a man with your taste (even though you did buy a Mercedes Benz).
