THIS is the WE 1911 Combat Commander

I called Evike again, and they located the Commander I should have received the first time I ordered.

Sold that other 1911 to a guy at work and got THIS one today.

I'll post more pics and a review asap, but wanted to share a few pics of the correct size blowback Commander.

(of course, I had to install my real 1977 Combat Commander grips)

I'm pretty stoked with it already and I've only run one mag thru it.

Shot a 2" group of 15 at seven yards.

Getting three full mags per gas fill.

Widened the rear notch to simulate my Novak Geezer sights.

A commander-size, all-metal airsoft 1911, with all the small parts checkered?

John, our forum owner, has previously stated that he owns all Colt Commander 1911s. I'm not sure if this extends on airsofts, because yours looks like something he'd really like..!

On a more serious note - I can't believe how well Tokio Marui and Weitech are both copying all the detailed cuts on the frame, around the triggerguard, when the majority of REAL 1911 manufacturers can't seem to get these right!

Oh and if you're getting three mags per gas fill, you're certainly loading them right! Enjoy your new airsoft!

Yes, El Commandante owns this one, too.

I knew that as soon as I opened the box.

I wouldn't know an airsoft bull barrel if it put a knot on my head.

I'll take a pic and let you school me.

Well, does it have a barrel bushing, or is the barrel fitted directly in the slide at the front?

All metal, a Commander, AND Caspian markings? Yowzah, yowzah.

Where did you get it and is it readily available?

And remember, WE pistols can use any aftermarket parts intended for TM 1911s.

...just in case you don't like that spur hammer!

    re: bull barrel

Evike.com carries them, but you have to make sure they pull the correct one from the shelf.

Now I need to search around here and learn about this "hop up" system.
