This is likely my favorite Colt.......but the matched set runs a close second. In fact, I liked the set well enough that I bought two of 'em....

My 1979 Colt. My dad got it forever ago with a Wilson match barrel/bushing, nice trigger, etc. Shoots nice. I just finished putting a set of tritium sights on it.

Don't recall posting this one before. Government Model manufactured in '64, accurized by Jim Clark Sr. in '66, and returned for Clark's tune up, refinish and other work in '98. Still a totally reliable and very accurate old pistol.CLARK COLT 002 - Copy.jpg

This is my first gun and all I ever really wanted was a Colt 1911. The history of the gun always is what's drawn me to it. This is a SS Competion .45.

18-Aug-2017 Colt 1991A1 left side small.jpg The photo shows the 1991A1 I carried my final 13 years as a peace officer. Prior to that I carried a series 70 Combat Commander until our Department changed the specifications to require those of us with the optional semi-autos to have only pistols with the firing pin block.
