Several times we have discussed the differences between the various double-column Para pistols and how they compare to each other. Here is a short explanation.
The P14.45 (a.k.a. P16.40 and P18.9) is a 5" pistol, using a standard Government-size slide and barrel, and it has a Government height frame (uses a Government model MSH).
The P13.45 (P15.40 and P16.9) has a Commander length, 4-1/4" slide and barrel, but the frame takes an Officers MSH.
The P12.45 has an Officers ACP length, 3-1/2" slide and barrel and uses a proprietary, extra short MSH.
Grip safeties on all the above models are the same: 1911 standard. When you get down to the P10.45 and Warthog, the grip safety is shortened as well as the MSH.
The respective heights (per Para specs) are:
P14.45 = 5.75"
P13.45 = 5.25"
P12.45 = 5"
P10.45 = 4.5"
Corresponding single stack pistols and heights are:
SSP (Government) = 5.75"
LTC (Commander) = 5.75"
OPS (Officers ACP) = 5"
Slim Hawg = 4.75"
