Lightbulb How 'bout a Holster Picture Thread...!

I'd like to see some pics of forum member's holsters and gear! I think it'd be helpful for folks considering different holster-purchase options (myself included!) to see what styles are available...maybe even with the gun in, or on the waist, etc.... I'm always interested in seeing how other people carry their "trusty" 1911 !

While i anxiously await my comprehensive package of gear from MS, i currently carry my Kimber CDP Pro in this Galco NSA (with the sewn loop). I like the single-loop carry; it's comfortable and shift a little when you move....which can also be a downside! I'm looking forward to having the stability of my VMII!!

    A few of my favorites.
One of Andy Arratoonian's Covert #28 Holsters. I kept the holster but no longer have the Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry.

An all-time favorite. Bianchi Askins Avenger for full size 1911 type pistols. Once again, I no longer have the Kimber Raptor II, but the Bianchi holds all my Series 70 Colts.

Tucker HF1 for Commander sized pistols.

In the past, I had a box full of holsters, most of which were never worn. I now have a drawer that contains the photographed holsters as well as a Galco ******* shoulder holster, a High Noon Undertaker shoulder holster, a Galco Concealable, a Galco Concealed Paddle holster, a Blackhawk CQC Serpa, and a couple of Galco holsters for my S&W revolvers.

My brand new Axioms, have not even put them on a belt. The pistols snap in nicely to the holsters. I am currently wearing the TRP, very comfortable. The holster needs to break into my overly excessive waist line. It took a few minutes to flex the holster to contour to me so i could snap it in place.

    VMII Horsie

My only good holster;I started carrying full-time after I got this. I used to carry "Spanish";but that caused a VERY embarrasing moment

Nice photos, stevie! Can almost smell the elephant
Is there a class or website that teaches "photography for dummies"!? I Just tok a whole bunch of pics and they all were blurry...

Hope to have my Axiom/elephant somewhere around Thanksgiving. I got the Commander size for my S&W Gunsite.

    Regards,
    mike

Converting Useless Animals into Useful Products

Out of a couple dozen holsters, only three are notable ... two will be pictured here.

First - BearClaw Holsters 'Standard Option' overlayed with American Alligator, matched with a Bob Mernickle belt, inlaid with American Alligator. I used to live in Florida so I kind of consider this my nostalgia set. I have a hard time taking good photos so the color is a bit off.

Another view of the BearClaw Holsters Standard Option, w/o the Mernickle Belt

The next photo is a leather n sharkskin OWB Defender from K&D Holsters, shown with my oldest Brown Bob Mernickle belt - sadly I don't have a shark belt for this ... yet

For a simple man like myself, these fine holsters make me feel like a million bucks

Nothing special, but since nobody else has posted a pic of one...
