You really shouldn't do this to an addict. There's probably a law against it somewhere.
    Oh..........nice looking conversions everyone!

Even with a Kimber .22 over a Kimber Target Elite frame, at 22 yards at a friends ranch, 10 rounds, shot one handed with rounds fired about a second apart, the group was O.K. This was shot with cheap Winchester ammo. They were in a "brick", not a "can" or "bucket". There are two rounds at the top of the cross by the way.

Advantage Arms on a Springfield Armory frame

With CCI Min-Mags, this set-up runs like a champ. Shoots very well too. Frequently put this into the hands of students for their first 1911 experience.

A couple views of another which is becoming a favorite:

... not broken in yet, at least that's my hope for why it fails to cock the hammer about 10%. But it shoots like blazes if tightened to the frame @50rds. Should have included the Winchester T22; it turned out the Marvel didn't like it so much. Switched back to CCI Standard Velocity for most shooting. Until it gets to feeding well, I haven't tried to figure out what it likes in match grade.

    centaur

I picked up this Centaur conversion off the internet, and bought a Sarco RI kit for it. It shoots long rifle very consistently, but it shoots match ammo with much more accuracy, but wont cycle. I'm in the process of weaning it down so it will cycle match ammo. It worked well this morning with Wolf, but will not cycle Lapua. Back to he drawing board. http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/8615/0000052rh0.jpg http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/8094/0000053zo8.jpg

    Shooting 500rds through a 1911-pattern for $15 ... hmmmm.
