I know this was an older post, but I'm wondering if you have an update on this 1911 friendly multi-tool? Just curious.

Have used an original Gerber for years. Have had Leatherman PST and Wave for a couple of years. The Wave seems to work the best for me -- most comfortable, quickest.

With the public proclamation he was supporting Kerry for pres., leatherman has become a bad word. I use gerbers which are the standard issue for the military now(they issue every soldier going thru RFI {rapid fielding initiative} for overseas deployment a gerber) My personal purchase some years ago was a SOG switchplier. It unfortunately has a rather loose joint for the pliers as needed with the push button method of operation and does not grip as well as the gerbers

I like the one hand operation of the Gerber but in the feild I like the positive shealth of the leatherman. I have lost Gerbers but not my leatherman.

Thanks all for the info on Leatherman politics. I have several, so the damage is done, but I'll buy no more.

I won't own a leatherman and appreciate the posting of the companies that support the other side.

I have tried 3 Gerber's, broke them all! I did not know about Leatherman, I will not be buying their products anymore! I only use the VICTORINOX now.

It only takes a few seconds to dial 911, It could take the rest of your life for help to arrive!

The gerber quality is not as good but I won't give my money to leatherman. I carry a gerber and it does the job for me. Not quite as many bells and whistles.

Have had two leathermans. first broke and was replaced under warranty. Like the Swiss version maybe next on my list. Don't care about politics on this issue. We have so little private comment on politics I am happy to see anyone from the private sector express their views. Better that than the constant barrage from the professional politicians (Lawyers).
