This may be a dumb question, but at what point is it recommended to replace a barrel on a 1911? I have approximately 15,500 rounds thru my .45 with the original barrel. I feel that the accuracy has not diminished, however, when viewed thru my borescope, the lands show a pretty fair amount of wear at the chamber end. I reload for this gun and my reloads are at the mild end of the spectrum...at the start load for my reload data. I am looking at unchanged accuracy and no apparent wear on the locking lugs etc. I also do not notice any excessive copper or lead fouling. I am inclined to leave well enough alone, unless I am missing something? Any input from anybody?
