Welcome to the forum.
Thanks Doran, i need to repost this question as apparently i didn't answer my own question as i had thought.
This is my first post and I'm hesitant to ask this question.
My son and I are tearing down and cleaning a firestorm 1911 .45acp. I inherited this firearm when my father in law passed a few years ago. I've had it minimally apart for basic cleaning but I wanted to dig in and give it a thorough once over this time. I have 2 other 1911's made by remington and Rock Island so this isn't my first rodeo with 1911's, just this one.
Anyway, we tore it down, cleaned and reassembled it. I noticed, off to the side of my cleaning mat, this part left over. I've searched Google and looked through my manuals, but this part is nowhere in any of the places I've looked. The firearm will not fire without it. It's a little over an inch long and about a thick as pencil lead. Any help is greatly appreciated.
The photo is small, out of focus, and putting a dark object against a white background obscures all details. Please post better photos.
Is this a modern Firestorm, or is this a Spanish-made Firestorm?
