    Need for thinner grips

I have three 1911's. My newest is a Kimber Stainless II. I purchased a "ClipDraw" that mounts under the right side grip. This is throwing off my grip of the firearm. It is just slightly too thick for a great grip.
Does anyone know of affordable good "thin" grips? I'm looking for grips that are thinner than the standard Kimber wood grips.

Are you aware that to install thinner grips you will have to also replace the grip screws and the grip screw bushings?

I am aware that I may need new bushings. They are not hard to find. My concern is that the supposed "Thin" grips I've been looking at online aren't really much thinner. I am looking for input from someone who has purchased thinner grips than the ones that come with the SS Kimber.

Why would he need short bushings if the thin grip is going over the Clipdraw?

I would assume you could have a grip maker remove some of the grip thickness from the backside of the panel you install the ClipDraw under allowing you to recover the thickness you want.

I say this, as I make my own grips ( for my use, I don't sell grips ). For reference; the standard thickness at the screw hole is 0.270" and the thin grip is 0.190" ( these are target thicknesses, which may vary slightly ).

Screws and bushings shouldn't be affected by doing it this way unless I'm missing something.

I guess maybe he wouldn't if he only replaces the grip panel on the side where he mounted the ClipDraw.

Thank you. I have 5 left over sets of 1911 grips. All of them wood. I was considering planning down one of them to see how it fits.
I want to use what works best but it would be great to keep the original "Kimber" engraved grips.

Thank you for your help. I finally jumped onto a solution.
I purchased new "Slim" grips from "Coolhand". I also purchased 4 new bushings. I only used two of the bushings. They were not necessary on the side with the "ClipDraw".
I did not like removing the original grips because they were engraved with "Kimber" but I HAD to have something that felt comfortable in my hand.
I chose dark gray grips to contrast the S.S.
    It feels great now!!
    Just like a 1911 should.
