Para Ordnance P16 40 Parts Compatibility?

I have an old Para P16 40 double stack I used for competition over 15 years ago. Still operates but it is beat up and needs some love... I am looking for a compatible trigger to replace the original plastic single action version. I am also interested in replacing the slide/barrel with something optics ready. Even a 9mm conversion if such a thing exists.

I have no idea what is/is not compatible based on my searches. Any assistance here would be very much appreciated.

    Here's your trigger:

Any standard 1911 slide with a .40 caliber breech face cut should fit the Para-Ordnance frame. As for barrels, it's a ramped barrel, so you'll need to look for a barrel with a Clark/Para ramp.

Not sure anybody makes an optics ready replacement slide. You will probably have to get a gunsmith to cut it for you. There are several different optics, but many have different footprints. You need to get the correct adapter plate to mount the sight on. Then the gun is limited to optics that have the same mounting hole pattern. Trijicon RMR & SRO as well as Holosun 407C, 507C, 508C & 508T all have the same mounting pattern.

There are other sites out there, but here is an example of some of the different plates.

Not too many manufacturers made .40 S&W 1911s.

Thank you all! My "unicorn" will need to take the back seat to other projects. I guess it's time for me to modernize with a new 1911. Now that I 'm back in the market, there really are some really good options for DS1911 (and non-1911s) out there...
