    BATFE New Rule on pistols with wrist braces to become final

    On Friday, January 13, the BATFE announced that the new rule classifying pistols with wrist braces as short-barreled rifles has been submitted to the Federal Register. Once published, the rule is considered to be final.

    The BATFE announcement states that there will be a window of 120 days from the date of publication for owners of such firearms to register them as short-barreled rifle.
