    Model 1911A1 with "TZ" slide

Good Morning: First posting - I received a M1911A1 Ithaca pistol with a "TZ" slide from the CMP, after taking the pistol down for cleaning I also noticed a "TZ" on the Barrel dated 1985. My question to you is: Did IMI usually provide a new barrel along with the new slide of was this up to the facility doing the work on the pistol. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forum.

I've observed boxed, spare, post war slide assys from Colt but not TZ. Most likely just coincidence these parts installed together.
