I attended the Wanenmacher show in Tulsa, OK last weekend. I've had a table at this show for probably 20 years. Always a good time and lots of things to see; I tend to focus on military 1911s and accessories. I didn't hear number of tables or attendance this time but normally 4000+ tables and around 30,000 attendees just on Saturday.
This time one of my cousins also attended. He's looking for a vintage Colt SAA but not totally sure what he wants. I told him he could probably look at a few hundred of them there. We walked the show for a few hours and he now says after seeing so many at one time he's about 80% sure what he wants. Seems he's leaning towards a First Generation .45, nickel plated, ivory or pearls and engraved.
