After not participating in the 1st 2 rounds, I decided to submit my paperwork for this round. Higher prices and an additional grade is part of round 3.

Wish they offered the magazines again - but I guess they are all sold out.
No worries. I missed out on the first 2 rounds also, and figured I'd post it up after seeing it on another site. In case there were folks like us that are going to get down off the fence this time.

Good luck to all in round 3 !
I received a nice field grade late Rem Rand with lead E.P. and A 6-77 Marine stamp.
No joy on the FOIA records t for Marine provenance though.

Ok I picked it up. And had a bear of a time getting pictures. I am a techno-dummy. But today was beyond me.

It is a Colt frame / Colt slide. Obviously reparked. A 1991 barrel. And the s/n is 1088879. According to my interpretation of a chart in Poyer's book that is '43.

I'll try upload some pics. They're not the best. I'll try to do better. Maybe I'll start my own thread. I never thought I'd ever own a Colt from that era. Maybe mentioning it was my B-day got me special treatment. Probably not. But hey I like to think I'm special sometimes.

Got one pic 2 load. bBedtime...sorry

    Thanks Doran!

I promise to upload better pics later today. My next range day will have to include my Garand! It's been too long.
