Interesting pistol; welcome to the forum.
I'm not finding anything similar in my limited book of proof marks.
Hege is a German company still exists today https://www.waffen-hege.de/de/
Like some other company those 1911A1 has been bought to US Army in Europe and commercially marketed after WWII like yours in 1966 among with German proofs.
InEurope we can found many 1911A1 Colt, Rem Rand, Ithaca, (very few US&S) with German Proof marks during the sixties.

Thank you Mikecp. Do you think the stampings and proof marks support use by a Bavarian law enforcement or other official organizations?
No, those are a common practice for all German firearms.
Did you look under le slide stop if any stamps on frame ?
