I recently purchased a Colt CCU CCO in .45 ACP. As I'm sure you know, this gun has the Officer's frame, but has the attached flared mag well. The pistol came with one 7 round magazine with the 5-hole pattern and polymer base pad, which I assumed is a Defender/Officer mag (Or maybe not because of the added length of the magwell) but no one has this configuration for sale. I've seen the 8 round version but cannot find the stock magazine for sale anywhere. I contacted Colt, and they told me to check Brownells and Midway USA. When I informed them neither place had them for sale in that configuration, and they aren't even listed on the Colt website, the customer service rep looked up the guns serial number, took my information, and told me they would send me a free mag, which was awesome. As generous as that was, I'd like to purchase more. Does anyone know who makes the polymer base pad for this magazine? Now keep in mind, I'm a Colt snob and want the original configuration. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
