My other 1911s don't have this issue. I noticed that when fully to the rear the disconnector feels like it's going in front of the slide block.

Is this normal?
If not what should I do?
Thank you

That photo is the way ALL 1911s should be. That's what allows pulling the slide back from lock to disengage the slide stop. That's why the forward edge of the notch is slanted rather than vertical.
There is one "name" maker of 1911s (that I'm aware of) who doesn't make his pistols that way. I won't buy one of his. This is a big part of the reason.
