    New Rock

I finally found the Rock I have been watching for.
    A Rock Standard CS 45ACP
I had one several years back and let it go in a trade for an S&W Model 66 2&3/4" barrel.
I didn't realize it would get so hard to find a Rock like that.
I got a good price on a new one, and this will be a keeper.
I still have the grips for the Little Rock, but I'll need to get a couple more mags for it.
I ran across one at a gun show not long ago, but it was a GI version and had what looked to be a lot of Bubba Gunsmithing on it. The guy wanted more than I paid for my new one.
Only two Rocks in the show, the other one was a new GI Full size.
I ordered the Little Rock today, should be in sometime next week.
When I get her and go to the range I'll post on here and let you know how she does.

I'll be looking forward to the photos.

I like the CS ("Compact Size") -- equivalent to the Colt Officers ACP -- for carry. It's a very handy package.

Thanks, Hawkmoon I like "The Little Rock" as I called the other one I had.
Nice little carry package. I have a couple of sets of grips for it.
A plastic set that is yellowed to look like Ivory, looks good.
The other set is wood with The State of Texas Seal, they look really good.
Me being Born and Raised in The Great State of Texas, I like them best.
They are thicker and make my large hands fit better.
I have a mag well that hooks around the grip screw mount? Makes the grip feel a little longer.
I might have to buy some more grip screws for it. I like the screws with Torx heads better than a straight blade.
I will have to read up and learn to post Pix on here. Not being a Computer Whiz, I am at a disadvantage.
I grew up before computers. Except the ones that took up a whole big room just for simple math calculating.
We only heard stories about them. IBM?

I've had my Rock CS for a 8-9 years now and carry it regularly. Never had a problem with it and it is is almost a toss up between it and my Kimber Pro sized as to my favorite.
My aging eyes couldn't deal with the GI sights on the Rock so I had the slide milled for Novak sights and had some trijicon night sights added.

Larry I never had any problems with my Little Rock. She was quite the lady, no matter what rounds I fed her.
I still have the holster for her and plan to put her back into carry rotation, just as soon as she proves up to depend on.
I agree my eyes are not what they used to be, and I may be looking for better sights for her too.

My Little Rock came in, and she looks and feels great. It has a lot of heavy oil on her, so I'll be stripping her down and cleaning it with CLP.
I'll be making a few changes here and there, magwell, and grips, for now, and thinking about extended slide stop, and safety. Makes it easier to use. I'll try and post some pictures before long. Tomorrow to the range.

Finally Got back to the range with the Little Rock and a few others.
She did just fine, I've got 250 rounds down range, no problems at all.
    She's ready to ride.
