    California in the news

And it's not good news for gun owners, and especially not good news for gun manufacturers.

Following the Supreme Court's refusal to take up the issue of whether Texas's new law allowing private citizens to sue abortion providers [Note: Do NOT take this as an opportunity to open a discussion about abortion. I don't care which side you're on, we do NOT discuss that topic here], California now wants to allow private citizens to be able to sue gun makers to try to force them to stop making and selling [so-called] "assault weapons." Basically, he's baiting the Supreme Court.

Stay tuned. Personally, I'm glad I don't live in California ... but I won't be surprised if other liberal states enact similar laws.

A government that is afraid of guns that a law abiding citizen own or might own is a government not to be trusted.

I spent some time in that state as a youngster. It is where I became politically aware. I grew up in the midwest at a time when unions were powerful and the members always voted democrat. Politics wasn't discussed in my family. At least not to the point I remember any of it. The way that state was run 3 plus decades ago made me realize I would never vote or support those ideologies.

That said; I do have a nephew, who is a gun nut like myself, trapped there due to employment/family. I feel sorry for him.

Okay, I tried. I just don't have anything nice to say about this except that if it does make it to the Supreme Court, those guys are sharp enough to bat it down.
