When you see a page with some pictures you have uploaded, on the right, there is an empty square. Check it. Then, at the bottom there should be a "Delete Selected" button. Try to delete some of your older pictures, to make room for more. Even though I am not aware of a limit for the total attachment size and verified that right now. So either you are doing something wrong when uploading the picture, or this is a generic vBulletin limit, which can not be altered.

Don't you see these boxes on the right?

You should be able to see them, I just tried them out for a simple user, like you, and they show up.

Weird that there is that 10mb limit.

It is indeed weird, because I have set no limit on the space occupied by attachments. So I do not understand, how there is a per user limit. I do not know what to say, except try deleting some of your older attachments.

I deleted a bunch of older pictures. Now I can post some more of my mistakes...errr...handiwork..err..gunsmithing/build photos.

In trying to understand the issue, I even did a search for posts in vBulletin forums. But didn't have any luck as most of the discussions were meant for computer savvy folks such as yourself. Shrugs shoulders....I'll delete again when full.

    Thanks John!

It's a shame to lose photos, though. Brett, what size are the photos you generally upload? There are lots of utilities available for resizing, so if you resize them to 1028x764 or even 800x600, perhaps you can fit a lot more into the overall size limit.

Well, there is a limit afterall!!!

Only it is not in the general settings for the attachments, it is in the Usergroup settings!

So I doubled it for your Usergroup, Brett! You can now upload more pictures without deleting old ones. But do follow Hawkmoon's suggestion about picture size.

It is a shame. Especially in my build thread. Not necessarily to show off my handiwork. Cuz it surely ain't stellar. But maybe help someone else out in not making mistakes. Or even show that if a rookie like me can do it. Anybody with a bit of mechanical ability can build a 1911. Especially with the info that can be found here and helpful folks that chime in.
