    I'm back.

While not actually a new member I have been gone from the group and from 1911-types for several years. So a few months ago I decided to give old slab-sides another go. I bought a Tisas, which turned out to test all of my knowledge and tuning ability. In the end I gave up and bought another RIA FS GI. It's perfect. How's everyone doing?

    Welcome back!
Originality can't be restored, so put "originality" at the top of a priority list. If JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.

Welcome back. What made you give up on the Tisas 1911?

I got a lemon. I'll just leave it at that for now. If I can work myself up to it I may detail my 6 month / 500 round sad story later (and in the correct area).
