    Holster for RO Compact

Hi all - Looking for a holster for my Springfield Armory M1911 Range Officer Compact, chambered in 9mm. Any suggestions? Looks as if SA discontinued the line (which is a pity because it's one fine pistol). I tend to like leather holsters, but interested in anyone's input. The manufacturer websites I've visited list out any number of other SA models, but I haven't found the RO Compact. Any thoughts?

Holsters made specifically for 4-inch 1911s are hard to find. The missing quarter of an inch probably won't make any difference -- look for holsters to fit a Colt Commander.

The older Springfield Champion had a 4-inch barrel. See if you can find any holsters that are listed for the Springfield Armory Champion.

It makes no difference at all.

I use Commander holsters to carry four inch 1911s frequently, and don’t believe that 1911 holsters need to be brand specific, unless they’re the wider slide Sigs, or perhaps railed models. Railed models won’t fit into a standard non-railed 1911 holster.

Wilson Combat also makes 4" barreled 1911's and have holsters in stock for those models.

Yep, and both of mine; a W/C Professional Model and a W/C EDC X9, fit just fine in any of my Commander-sized holsters.
