I have Checkmate examples where Sep 1993 dated don't have drain holes, but Jan 1994 do have drain holes. That dates your magazine somewhat. Post #159 in the Magazine ID sticky.
Post #75 in the sticky shows a few typical fakes though there are many more variations than shown.

What do the feed lips and follower look like?
I don't know if their contract mags have it, but all my commercial CheckMate mags have a dimpled at the top, right, front of the tube to help clear the mag catch.
Here is a picture of legitimate Checkmate mags - commercial and USGI. I got both from Checkmate when they still had some USGI (New) in storage/stock. The commercial version is their USGI style - Same except bottom marking/holes
