    Opinions Please - US&S 1911a1

I purchased this US&S 1911a1 at a local auction several weeks ago. I would appreciate hearing opinions from the experts on this forum as to condition, originality, etc. I'm not an expert but it looks like the original Dulite finish to me.

Welcome to the forum. Difficult to determine original condition/finish from photos but if original you found a nice one.

Color the best way to determine original finish but photography backgrounds influence that; blueish grey Dulite blue over sandblast the original color. The feed ramp in the frame should show bare metal.

Triggers normally brighter/shinier blue than the rest of the pistol and almost borderless checkering. I don't know if that holds true on late pistols.

the best way to know one was used ,the dulite wears off I thought my dads uss issue pistol was nickel, no, he carried it from issue till retirement in 1970 and was allowed to keep it and the colt he had at wheeler field (colt has damage from strafing frame is toast)
