Closeups show "S" marking for Springfield Armory on slide lock and thumb safety.

Nice complete example, shame it suffered a bad buffing and refinish

I dated it according to this National Park Service Springfield Serial numbers listing but guess it was mistaken; also found a few other sources which listed it as 1915 production. Is there any source for shipment data for the Springfield Armory 1911s?

The link didn't work for me.

Per the Clawson Big Book Springfield serials 107101-107500 procured 29 May 1915.

My little pocket reference book shows 1914 Springfield production as being 72571 - 83855 and 102597 - 107596

Also per the Clawson Collector's Guide:

    1914-15 72571-83855 Springfield Armory (1915: 81751-83855)

The lists in Charles Clawson's books considered accurate by the collecting community.
