    New member from Michigan

    Hello,

I was referred here from a few members on Michigan Gun Owners. I am interested in building, or modding, a 1911, and I need some help figuring out where to start.

I'm wanted a 1911 since birth, but I'm just now getting to the point where I'm getting serious about acquiring one. So far, I've been reading everything I can in the gunsmithing area, trying to get up to speed on the fitting processes, and common issues. There is a lot to learn, but I've got the time.

I'm not sure what else goes into these new member threads, so I'll leave it here, for now.
