Opinions wanted on 1943 Colt 1911a1

Has this been re-parked? I know pictures arent the easiest way to tell, but originally I had thought it was too nice to be original. The more i look at the gun the more i wonder. Serial number 1,130,xxx. Slide and frame serial numbers match. The gun is part of my collection, and i'm wondering what kind of price i should put on it for insurance purposes?

Doesn't look refinished but appears to have a milled trigger which is early for this pistol serial.

I'm by no means an expert on the subject or i wouldn't be asking for opinions on stuff, but i was under the impression that colt didnt switch to stamped triggers until right around the time frame that this gun was produced. Maybe i'm wrong though

You are correct. The Clawson Collector's Guide only stated stamped triggers adopted August 1942. I looked in the Big Book and it states Colt began using stamped triggers about 1200000. Sorry for the confusion.

The stamped triggered started showing up in Colts about January 1944 at 115xxxx +/-.
A lot of people ruin old .45s by trying to improve them.
