    My Remington Rand 1911a1

New member from NC, just thought id share a pic of my late war remington rand that i was able to pick up a few weeks ago. Story i got was that it came from an officers family after he was deceased. Normally I wouldn't believe a story like this, but they weren't using the story to inflate price given what i paid, and the gun shows lots of honest wear, and is pretty correct as far as i can tell, minus the barrel is a colt ww2 issue

Which pistol is the "new" one? The adjustable sight on the lower pistol was added later.

Best to do most shooting with the Essex frame. WWII metallurgy wasn't in the same league as a modern pistol.
