    Hijacked ammunition

I just read that Mexican criminals just hijacked a load of 7 million rounds of various calibers in Mexico. The authorities found the trucks minus the ammo. It was manufactured by Aquillo and headed for the United States. I guess that definitely does not help the shortages here in the good ol' US of A!

According to Newsrobin.com - 98.5% of the rounds had been .22 caliber, a low-powered ammunition that’s usually used for goal follow or searching small sport. Mexican cartels – identified extra for his or her heinous acts of violence than for his or her interest squirrel searching – are normally armed with highly effective AK-47 and AR-15 rifles that use high-velocity rounds.

The article I read did not go into much detail about what particular calibers there were, although they did specify 12 gauge shotgun ammo. If the bulk of it was .22 caliber, I guess the criminals might end up having to resort to Ruger 10/22s!
