No need for photos. It sounds like what you described isn't an "insert," but the base of a ten-round magazine.

For future reference, though, how to post photos is covered in the site's FAQ:

    From our Para photos thread, here's a photo of a P12 (actually a 12.45 LDA) with a 10-round magazine:

    For comparison, here's a P13 with a 10-round magazine:

The steel magazine tubes are the same length -- to hold ten rounds -- for the P14, P13, and P12 models. The polymer base changes length to match the pistol size.

The mags at CDNN are original Para mags, they are also listed as pre-ban. Mine came in original packaging. I purchased 3 of the 13 round mags for my Rock Island BBR 3.10. They work in the Rock Island after you widen the mag catch slot on the Para magazine so they can lock into the Rock Island. So far I have not had any issues with the magazines and have ran a couple hundred rounds of 230 FMJ through them. I didn't find any issues with the springs, getting that last round in was tough but they should loosen up a bit after use. That plastic insert people are referring to is a limiter to make it hold only 10 rounds. The mags at CDNN have no limiters in them.
