    Colt 45 Auto Match Barrel

Hello all...can you provide some info on this barrel I recently acquired
There are no markings on the right lug, just the left, and underside.
    Many thanks

Beats me. The "COLT 45 AUTO MATCH" is how a prewar commercial National Match barrel is marked.
But "G" indicates Government (military contract) sales.

A match barrel diverted into Army orders early in the war, maybe.

As Jim says, likely government sales. Commercial sales normally marked MB in a circle at the location of this P stamp.
