    Shot a friends DW 1911 last weekend, 49 rounds, wow, equal to anything Colt ever put out.

    Lately other than a few Pythons and a Anaconda, I haven't seen much coming out of the factory.
    I figured with CZ buying the company we would see a increase in production and some new 1911 models.
    I can't remember the last time I saw a New Commander.

    I have seen one commander in the last two years and it was priced 300 bucks above MSRP!

    I wonder if CZ is in the process of analyzing their manufacturing alternatives give that they now own both Colt and Dan Wesson(?)....there is a considerable amount of overlap in the product line between the two companies, with (at least at this point) each organization serving a relatively similar segment of the 1911 market.
