Holster question - post war rebuilds

I did a search, and didn't find an obvious post - so let me ask the question. The correct holster for post ww2 rebuilds is a ww2 1916 holster dyed black, am I remembering right?

Yes, but don't rule out later contract holsters. Original and rebuilt pistols were used until the late 80's. (and even later....)

I have only had original 1916 holsters, what are the numbers for the late contract holsters. It's been years, last I had was a very very nice and very original Enger Kress 1916
