    New member from Northeast PA

New (old) guy checking in. Looking to grow my knowledge of M1911s - has always been my favorite frame to carry and hated when we transitioned to the M9s beck in the mid-80s.

I'm a retired Army Colonel, spent 26 years on active duty before retiring and going into higher education. I retired for the second, and final, time in July 2020 having spent the past 8 years as president of a small college in northeast PA.

Welcome aboard. I haven't been here in a while myself. Sure seems to have slowed down a lot.

    Welcome to this 1911 forum.
Buy the gun not the story and don't be drawn to an example that is not original, originality isn't something that can be restored. I've never seen a 1911 I didn't like.
