    Hello from iowa

Just joined the site. I recently inherited a m1911 from my dad, i sent off the info to colt to get some info and per the serial number it puts it at a 1918. Can this forum help me get more info on the gun from pictures of the markings?

Thanks in advance, look forward to hearing from you all.

    Welcome to this 1911 forum.
Originality can't be restored, so put "originality" at the top of a priority list. If JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.
