Cool A very Merry 1911 Christmas

I am a new member. I only own one 1911 but I have recently developed a lot of interest in this pistol and hope to learn a lot here. I like the way things look and I believe there is no other pistol or handgun that can match the beauty of the 1911. I will be looking through posts for information on the 1911s from the Philippines (American Tactical Imports) as well as American made brands and 1911s in 9mm, though I think I prefer the 45acp cartridge. Merry Christmas!

    Welcome to the group, donbeh.

The comments about first 1911s bring to mind a recent encounter at the local indoor pistol range here in Modesto, Ca. I saw an unusual looking 1911 in the display case and asked about it. The manager told me what it was, then said, "Do you want it?". I replied, "No thanks, I have enough guns". The shocked look on his face was absolutely priceless. I wish I had a picture of it.
    i sold all my handguns. . . . . . . . . . except for the 1911 style pistols in .45 ACP.

Welcome to this 1911 forum from Italy.
Originality can't be restored, so put "originality" at the top of a priority list. If JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.
