Colt 1991 Compact Two-piece guide rod: identification and issues

First, before I posted this, I DID search the forum to see if I could find the answer already listed.

Last week, I purchased this 1994 Colt 1991 Compact Model. It came with the following aftermarket parts (at least): Packmayr grips; extended beavertail safety; extended magwell; two piece guide rod.
It was part of a police auction out of Puerto Rico, and I know nothing of its' history apart from year of manufacture.

This is my first Colt, and my previous RIA 1911s have been full-size. I understand that there may be an issue with needing to replace the recoil springs more often.
However, I am unable to see any manufacturer noted anywhere on the guide rod assembly.

Can it be identified from the picture? And, where could I obtain appropriate springs?
Since I can't ID the guide rod, should I get a different one?

NOTE: the aperture is for an Allen wrench, but the guide rod unscrews easily with finger pressure.
And I put the scratches there, trying to figure out how to disassemble it, before I saw it was a two piece. Should I clean that up with a needle file?

I can't help with identifying the manufacturer, but you can get recoil springs from Brownells. You'll need to know if the recoil spring guide diameter is .250" (the original Colt diameter, for use with the dual spring), or .330". Yours appears to be .330".

The part number for the spring to fit the .250" guide rod is 969-423-220WB. It has one end reduced in size to fit the .250" guide.

The part number for the spring to fit the .330" guide rod is 969-490-220WB. This oen is sized for a standard .330" guide with a single spring.
