    Howdy from SATX

    Hello y'all!

I'm a Texan living in San Antonio.

I've been around firearms all of my life but relatively new to the 1911 platform.

I bought a GSG 1911 (.22) a couple years ago and really love it.

More recently, in a trade, I acquired a malfunctioning Auto Ordinance ZG-51 .45 CAL. I'm looking forward to using this as a learning tool and will be reaching out to y'all's experience for assistance. (I'm aware of the poor performance history of this 1911.)

God Bless Texas and the USA.

    Thanks!

From Modesto California I welcome you to the group. I get 99% good ruction on all my 1911s year - on - year. Sorry to break the news but the only one that failed to meet that goal was an Auto Ordinance that I bought new a couple of years ago. Eventually i gave up and sold it.

I hope yours works out better than mine did.
    i sold all my handguns. . . . . . . . . . except for the 1911 style pistols in .45 ACP.

I am a SouthWesterner . Welcome from SW. Penna.
My Dad had a blast in San Antonio. Hoping to see it one day.
Never judge a man, untill you've walked a mile in his shoes. That way ... You'll be a mile away from him , & ... you'll have his shoes.

It's a great city. I chose to live here after getting out of the army.
