    Colt slide stop with 1 or 1 /1

    I have two Colt slide stops , marked with a 1 or 1 1 on them. THe ledge that is lifted up the magazine follower on these two slide stops is far smaller than a standard 1911 ledge. I am thinking they might be for a Colt 22LR conversion kit (upper). Any one know ?

    My Colt 22LR conversion unit uses a slide stop with a "1" stamped in the inner portion of the slide stop. I have 2 magazines a Colt and an aftermarket most likely made by Metalform.

    The slide stop furnished with the Colt .22 Conversion Unit's were stamped 2.
    1=45ACP
    2=.22 Conversion Unit/.38 Special Mid Range
    3=9mm/.38 Super

    In my Colt .22LR Conversion Unit the slide stop stamped with 2 won't open the slide on the last round using aftermarket .22 conversion magazine. Using slide stop stamped with one does. Figure that one out.

    If the #1 works for you, great. I was just pointing out what Colt originally furnished with the .22 Conversion Units.
    EGW sells a "Ace" slide stop that I've found works very well with OEM Colt and GSG magazines. A excellent replacement if the tab on your #1 wears to the point of not locking the slide back on a empty magazine.
