    Question # 2 stop

    Anyone know where I can locate a stop marked 2 for a Golt conversion kit. The one I hav is marked 1 and slide doesnt remain out of battery after last shot?? This unit is on a Series 70 frame and othrwise works great. /??? THANKS FOR ANY HELP

    Does the slide not lock open because the slide stop lug doesn't extend far enough inboard to make contact with the magazine follower? You can check this visually. If that's the case, since I don't think you will find anyone selling a "#2" slide stop, you may need to buy a 9mm slide stop. That should also extend slightly farther inboard than a .45 slide stop.

    You can also surf Ebay and you might get lucky. I would go with EGW myself.

    A number 3 slide stop should work just fine.
    When I had my Service Model ACE I compared, and measured the #2 slide stop against the #3 in my .38 Super and there wasn't much if any difference.

    I'd use the Colt #3 before I'd use the EGW

    Aesthetics mainly. EGW makes excellent parts, I actually had the EGW in my Caspian Arms/Conversion until I scored a #2 on eBay.
    The EGW just doesn't look right.
